THE WISE FINANCIAL MAN IS BACK, AND BETTER THAN EVER
Updated: Jan 22
With the beginning of the year 2020 just rolling in, I am proud to announce the Wise Financial Man is back and here to stay. For those of you who don't know who or what the Wise Financial Man is about, we are a personal finance blog focused on saving, investing, paying off debt, and ways to gain financial freedom. And for the many of you that have visited my site, read my blog post, and interacted and shared the blog, I want to apologize for being gone the past several months.
2019 was quite the hectic year for the Wise Financial Man. I am proud to announce in September of 2019, I married my best friend and fiancé Rebecca. And the best part about the wedding was it was a complete DIY in which we paid pennies on the dollars. For those of you interested in the cost and how our DIY wedding turned out, there will be a post later on.
Additionally in 2019, I was relocated for my job to my dream spot, which was really only about 20 miles east of where I used to work. And the best part about it is I now only live several miles from work, saving me gas and time, and I received about a 10% pay raise.
My wife Rebecca was able to pick up a part time job as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at one of our local hospitals while still going to school full time to become a Registered Nurse (RN). I know she's excited to be out of the house working again, and I can honestly say I am excited for the extra income!
And for those of you who have read my article on "How we earned $36,000 in Passive Income with Roomates" and are curious about whether we still have roommates... The answer is yes, we still have roommates, and it is better than ever. However we made the decision to reduce the rooms we rent out from 3 to 2. Reason being, is now that we are married, it is definitely nicer to have more house to ourselves. We also ended up making one of the rooms the Wise Financial Man's office. Additionally we now rent a room to my Wife's cousin, and the other room to one of my coworkers. In our own weird way, we are a little family!
So you may be thinking or asking, "What is your plan or your direction you intend on going with the blog. I mean you did disappear for almost a year without posting..."
Well, that is a very good question. With us getting settled back in to life and becoming less busy, I intend on taking the blog to a whole new level. I intend on being more transparent with our lives, sharing our frugal adventures, our everyday bills, savings, Wise Financial Man investments, and sharing my knowledge as well as things we learn relating to personal finance. I intend on being more active on the Wise Financial Man social media platforms, and interacting with my readers.
I've also considered the possiblity of posting videos and making a presence on the Youtube platform, however, we shall see. One thing I can promise my readers is there will be at least one post a week on a personal finance topic, and one book review a month.
So with that said, I am excited to announce the Wise Financial Man is officially back. I look forward to growing the blog, and interacting with those of you who have decided to be a Wise Financial Man or Woman who are on the path to financial freedom.
